How do I wash my lingerie?
Hand wash separately in cold water. The hand dyed silk will bleed some dye, but the fabric will not lose color. Hang to dry, iron on medium heat with steam.
How do I wash my corset?
It is best to minimize washing your corset, as the steel bones can rust over time. Disinfect and deodorize your corset by spraying the inside lining with a mixture of half distilled water and half vodka, then hang dry in a warm dry room. If possible, lie the corset flat in sunlight to dry, with the lining side up. Spot clean the front with distilled water. If you need to wash your corset, handwash wash separately in cold water with gentle detergent. Swirl gently to wash, then squeeze to remove excess water; do not bend, twist, or wring the corset. Hand dry in a warm dry room., iron on medium heat with steam. Leather corsets CANNOT be washed, use the vodka spray method described earlier to clean.
Do you have a storefront?
Chiarra Marie does not have a storefront. Sample products are currently on display at the White Glove Wedding Bridal Bar in Kennewick. Lingerie can be ordered directly through the website, and please contact me directly to begin a corset order. I am working to add my product to various boutiques in the area, check the Contact page for up to date information on where it can be found.
Where can I try on your lingerie?
If you live the Tri-cities area, I am happy to arrange a try on session. I can schedule a session at the White Glove Wedding Bridal Bar or at your home, and I will bring my selection of sample corsets and lingerie for you to try on. You can even invite any other women you want to join you, let's make a party of it. I also do events throughout the year where I have my sample products available for try on. How can I order a corset?
The first step in ordering a corset is to contact me. It helps if you have an idea of what kind of corset you are interested in, and what you want to wear it for. Check out the Corset Styles page to see the different designs I make, or the Lookbook page to see all my different corsets. Once we get in touch, I'll schedule an initial fitting where I bring a selection of corsets in your size for you to try on. You can have a free half-hour consultation to try on corsets and talk to me with no obligation to purchase. If you decide to order a corset, we will go ahead and do a full one hour first fitting where I take measurements and we plan out your corset design. From there, the ordering process depends on whether you choose a made to measure or bespoke corset, see the How to Order page to learn more.
Can I order a corset even if I don't live nearby?
Yes you absolutely can, I can do a made to measure corset with remote fittings. I can send you sample corsets to try on and we can do video chat fittings. I add an extra step of creating a mock up to double check the fit, and this adds $65 to the base made to measure price. I currently don't do bespoke corsets remotely, because I can't ensure a high quality fit with that level of customization without in person fittings. However, if you live in the Pacific Northwest, we can get creative about ways and places to meet. If you are interested in a corset but don't live in nearby, the best thing to do is reach out to me, I am happy to work with you to find a solution.
